On June 14, 2021 the Excellence through Quality Improvement Project (E-QIP) joined over 200 providers from 12 countries at the 6th Annual Mental Health Improvement Network Meeting to share learnings related to quality improvement in mental health and addiction services. Presentation topics included the remote delivery of mental health services in Wales, improving suicide prevention in mental health using outcome and process data, meaningful co-production (experience-based co-design) and building national QI capacity across the small and mighty nation of the Faroe Islands!

E-QIP was delighted to have the opportunity to present on our approach to leadership and capacity building in quality improvement, measurement and use of data for decision making within Ontario’s community mental health and addiction sector and share highlights from our last year of project work including engaging 70 unique community MH&A agencies through project coaching, communities of practice and governance and leadership training, supporting 39 agencies to share quality improvement plans (QIPs), the launch of our online foundations to QI (IDEAS) e-learning course and hosting our first virtual conference, QI Innovations: Understand-Pivot-Change.

Across all presentations it was evident that QI is helping to improve client and tenant outcomes across the globe and that here at home E-QIP is playing an important role in this global movement.
