E-QIP’s Board Member training is designed for boards and senior leadership teams, providing a tailored learning experience to support quality improvement (QI) within an organization.
During this 90-minute session, we’ll cover:
- A general overview of QI, including the provincial context and quality frameworks
- The role of boards and senior leaders in setting and managing the quality agenda
- How QI aligns with organizational and strategic priorities
- The link between QI, performance reporting, and system priorities
- Strategies for building a quality-driven culture, including Whole System Quality
- A board toolkit with ready-to-use resources, tools, and exercises
- A discussion on your organization’s current and upcoming quality initiatives, helping to shape your Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
Training Process:
- STEP 1: Request the training and share relevant quality and strategy documents with the E-QIP team
- STEP 2: Meet with E-QIP to confirm objectives, audience, and approach, and discuss your organization’s current and planned QI activities
- STEP 3: E-QIP drafts training outline and materials, mapping your current activities to quality culture and QI domains
- STEP 4: Review and refine the proposed training outline and content with your team (optional second planning meeting if needed)
- STEP 5: Delivery of the training (virtually or in– person)
- STEP 6: Evaluate and debrief to ensure key takeaways align with your organization’s goals

- Current board QI reports or scorecards
