Setting up Your Project Team
- Executive Sponsor- Champions the project, secures resources, and helps remove roadblocks to project success.

- Process Owner- Be sure to include individuals on your team with knowledge of the process you are trying to improve.
- Client Voice- Individuals receiving your service offer valuable insights into how processes can be improved (change ideas) as well as sources of quality issues (root causes.) We strongly recommend including service users as members of your project team.
What to Expect During the Coaching Cycle (September-June)
- Using Data for Improvement- Data is a vital component of your project work. Teams should be prepared to use data at all stages of your project: (1) During project set up to help understand the quality issue you are trying to address, (2) During the project to measure your success and (3) After your project has ended to ensure your improvements have been sustained.
- Foundations to QI (IDEAS) e-learning- All QI project team members are expected to complete E-QIP’s Foundations to QI (IDEAS) e-learning course over the course of the coaching period.
- Weekly Meetings- Regular check-ins with your E-QIP coach and team to complete tools and share challenges and successes.
- Monthly Touchpoint Meetings- Sharing updates with other project teams and E-QIP coaches.
- Assessing Progress- Completing Pre and Post QI & Data Culture assessments as well as an organizational–level assessment.
